I've done extensive research and trying to install my wireless Netgear card WG511T.

I'm using the following instructions (put the http in front of the below links, I have less then 5 posts and the forum will not let me post URL's)

I've gotten to step 3 and cannot get any farther, I don't understand why. (1st url)

When I run modprobe ndiswrapper it returns nothing.
root@JimLaptop jim]# modprobe ndiswrapper
[root@JimLaptop jim]#

Here are some details which may help:
[root@JimLaptop jim]# uname -r
2.6.8.1-12mdk
[root@JimLaptop jim]# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
netw511 driver present, hardware present

also I have have my kernel source installed. I'm using ndiswrapper version 1.0 and MadWIFI When I install the WG511T card there is no beep.

Can some one please help me undersatnd why modprobe returns nothing. I also checked dmesg and there was no sign of the driver loading.
