KDE Workspace Selection Buttons Color
Hi All, this is a "niggly" little query. I have just installed Mandrake 10.1 Community, and it is mostly working OK. One stupid little thing I would like to fix is the color of the KDE workspace selection buttons - those little "buttons" on the panel that let you move from one workspace to another. In other distros I have seen, these buttons are a pleasing light gray color, just slightly darker than the background of the panel itself. They turn white when you select them. On 10.1 Community, they are an unfortunate dark gray color that really doesn't look very good at all. I have hunted high and low through the myriad KDE configuration selections, but can't find anything that controls the color of these buttons. Can anyone point me at a way of changing their color? Thanks! FYI, 10.1 Community uses KDE 3.2.
I'm using official but it should work the same, if you put your mouse over the desktop icon you want to change and right click on the mouse a menu will pop up go to Configure Virtual Desktop / Shade and you should be able
to change the color.

Thanks, this sounds encouraging, but it didn't work. I can right click the work surface button I want, and select Configure Virtual Desktops, but there is no "Shade" selection, tab, button, or any thing that would allow me to change the color. Is there another path to the "Shade" item you mention? Thanks!
If you are talking about the desktop icon text colors, right click on the desktop, then go to configure desktop, then background, then advanced. Lets you turn the shade off and change the color when it is selected. I know it is weird you can change the font in the control center but not the colors, at least I didn't find it. Took me a while to find this I wonder if 3.3 changed this a bit, hope it did.

Thanks, but no, I am asking about the color of the buttons on the panel that move you from one virtual desktop to another. However, good tip! I'll remember that. Now, if I can just figure out how to change the color of these darn desktop buttons...
Oh my bad, skimming too fast, sorry. Hmm, that would be nice to be able to change it, can't find anything on it, a new theme might change it but so would all the other stuff. Hmm...I'll keep searching, there must be a way.
