ISO images under LInux
Hi again, trying to find programs that will create iso image files under Linux.
At the moment, I am thinking of Mandriva powerpack 2007.
Appreciate any help on this matter.

Try searching for mkisofs and growisofs, the latter is a text-based front end and there are also GUI-applications that use this software.

Hi brianmcgee
I was looking at the program list for K3b and found growisofs 7.0. I have looked at K3b but can't find any mention of creating iso images?
Is there a way to adapt K3b, so that I can create iso images?

Create a new project in the usual way. Click on "Burn". In the window that appears, select "Only create image".

K3B - ISO to CD/DVD
In K3b, if you want to burn an iso image to a CD or DVD:
Tools -> Burn CD Image
or
Tools -> Burn DVD ISO Image

Hi. K3b is very much like nero (in m$ windows) You can find it there, and it's free.
Caveat, you may need to read some text to find just how powerful it really is.

You could also take a look at Kiso for handling and converting various types of disk images into iso
