Hello, I am trying to update my system to KDE 3.2 but when I visit a mirror to download it, I see that there is not a version for Mandrake. Is there a version for Mandrake? Where can I find it?

That one will work. You must have pointed to the wrong folder. Of course, if you join the club, you can get it easily that way too (which reminds me......I gotta commit to a distro and fork over the cash - the right thing to do)
ftp://mirrors.secsup.org/pub/linux/m.../Mandrake/RPMS
use Software Media Manager:
click add, select ftp
type a name in the blank
add my first line to the ftp location line
select hdlist.cz and type:
../base/hdlist.cz
P.S for other devel packages do the same thing, but use RPMS2
and ../base/hdlist2.cz
How does one know which files are the right KDE 3.2 files. For instance you have some with 1mdk and others with 5mdk. Must one get all 5mdks or can you mix and match as long as the file file is designated as a KDE 3.2 file?
The -5 is the "version" number. These are the same as the lower versions but have added bugfixes. Some packages require a certian "number" so download like kdebase, kdenetwork, kdeadmin, etc. Run rpm and find their dependancies. Then you can download their dependancies. As far as mismatching, you shouldn't have a problem because not all kde rpms have the same "version" number
