I Installed Mandriva 2007(x86_64) RC Summa. My Configuration
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
Intel DG965RY Mobo
1GB DDR2 RAM
250 GB SATA-II
DVD-16x IDE
Samsung 940BW TFT Monitor
My monitor supports 1440x900 @ 60;
Trouble is when I see the resolution and status on the Monitor's OSD it
shows 24 pp @ 81 and no resolution. Also, I don't get the full 1440x900 screen.
I had added Display Mode as "1440x900" in xorg.conf
and mode line also specifed accordingly for it.
The same settings work with the Intel 945 Motherboard after specifying mode settings using 915Resolution. I tried using
915Resolution utility for my System and it return saying unknown Chipset Type dumping its ID.
Also, on unrelated account; when I try to run Drake3D it gets stuck; I saw the log and it said running /usr/bin/glxinfo; Then I ran
/usr/bin/glxinfo from the shell. It said AIGLX Driver does not support 3d for 0x5a; after which it exited seg-faulting.
Please suggest what should I be doing about it.
