Installation dvd woes

OK - It's not a matter of life or death, but I installed xfishtank and the enlightenment packages tonight from my Mandriva 2006 dvd and they won't run. They're both residing at /usr/X11R6/bin and no amount of shell command or run command persuasion is going to make them run. They don't seem to be listed in any program menu on my desktop and there's certainly no icons for them anywhere. Can anyone tell me how to execute these, please?

Enlightenment is a window manager so when you logoff you should be able to select it as a session from the login screen. Is xfishtank a screen saver? Go into the KDE Control Centre and see the list of screensavers - it should be in there if it is.

I havent been been able to get Xfishtank, Xsnow, Xpenguin Xanything to work,I think its an Xorg thing.
