Question Installation

Does anyone know how to change the screensize of the installation? My graphics card can support the default resolution but my monitor has problems with screensizes > 640x480. This is going to be used as a server and will run headless so the monitor won't be used post-install & configuration. I'd like to not have to use my LCD, sicne this means i don't have my desktop to use while i mess around with this other box :-)

Essentially, I'd like to type "Linux vga=640x480" or something at the install prompt (yes i hit enter at the graphical thingy, which is displayed all fuzzy like) and have the rest of the install run at that size. I'd rather not use the text mode--it's a bit annoying to use..

thanks

ok never mind...i found the "advanced help" key and used vga16. but now, it goes and gives me the nice graphical window...then quits and teslls me "oerror opening security policy file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy"
(runinsl:9): GdkWARNING *: locale not supported by Xlib

(runinstall2:9): Gdk-WARNING **: can not set localemodifiers

(runinstall2:9): GLib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r(): failed due to unknown user id

I'm not sure if these cd's are bad or not...i get a very similar error on another machine. This one is an AMD K6 233Mhz with 32mb ram (i'm putting another DIMM in it soon). The other machine is a Pentium 133Mhz with 64mb ram. However these cd's install fine on my P4 1.7Ghz with 768 MB ram (except at the very end, when it fails to umount /mnt). Are my cd's indeed bad? I'm waiting for 9.2 to come out...and I may actually buy the PowerPack. I like MDK enough to the point where I want the extra benefits of the PowerPack.

Okay so I try text mode. Install loads fine....I select my langauge, and then it fails...:-(
