It took me a while to figure this out, and I am listing here just in case someone tries to remove it and cant or runs into this same issue.

I tried going to Mandrake Control Center to remove it by typing Vmware and nothing would come up, not even under gui or ALL.

I knew it was installed, so I went to /usr/sbin/ , then open Konsole, type su, password, then this command vmware-installer -u vmware-player 3.0.1.227600

please note that there has to be a single space between vmware-player and the version number.

That command removed it or better said, uninstalled vmplayer.

No problem, I don't presume that that fixes your issue. My only real point was that a how to should be an answer not a question.

Also it seems that now that your replies are showing up in that thread.
