how to set /tmp to unlimited size bcos it's blocked to 256MB


i would like to do my own mandrake 10.2 live cd using mklivecd who use the /tmp folder but that /tmp is blocked to 256MB so it cannot save the livecd to it
thnx for any help

Do you have a /tmp partition at that size? If so you can edit your /etc/fstab (just comment out the /tmp line) or just try to umount /tmp as root. It will then use your / partition.

unlimited isnt possible
a live cd uses all ram and a swap partition if its there.

i finally solved it by editing the /etc/fstab file by stting the /tmp folder to 1GB , then i could make the livecd

I hope your not thinking that live CD will now work on any computer because it wont unless they have that much memory install. And no one needs a 1gb /tmp.
