how can i overcome ochi 1394 checking delay?

Hi,
How can I disable checking ohci 1394 (I think is about LAN connection) at the boot-up of Mandrake Linux?

its for USB 1.1 host controllers... are you sure you are having problems with it?

is your /var/log/dmesg too long for you?

if you compile your own kernel ....I use
ehci and uhci compiled into the kernel not as modules
