Help needed installing Thunderbird in MDK9.0

I don't know if this post really belongs in the Mandrake forum, but Thunderbird complains that I need GLIBC 2.3.2 (Mandrake 9.0 ships with GLIBC 2.2.5).

The only GLIBC 2.3.2 rpm's I can find is for Mandrake Cooker.

Question 1: If I install the 2.3.2 cooker versions (with required dependancies), thru urpmi, will that hose my installation?

Question 2: If I can't use the rpm's, what do I need to install the tar.gz files (apart from the linuxthreads, I believe)?

Any help would be appreciated

OK, I've temporarily fixed the prob by installing a GLIBC 2.2.5 version after a little digging, but what I really want to do is try some of the nightly builds of Thunderbird.

Any help in regards to the GLIBC 2.3.2 as mentioned above would be appreciated.
