Unhappy ftp: howto work with file-permissions

Hi Folks, here is noob Schmurff again, who set up a ftp-server named "vsftpd"
Everything went well, and the server works fine. First I performed a smoke-test with 'ftp localhost' and I could logon to my ftp-server.
But the directory-listing remains empty. Well, what must I do to get the desired directory-listing?
I guessed it had something to do with my file-permissions and the used umask, which is set to 022.
Who knows???

Kind regards,

Schurff :-P

Hi.

You do actually have some files in /var/ftp, yes?
