Folders moving themselves between drives
10.2 gigabytes of files magically moved from one drive to another. When I rebooted, it had moved back to the original drive.
I am running Mandriva 10.2, the drives are two identical SATA Maxtor 200 gig drives, both have EXT3. When I turned on the computer this morning, my BitTorrent folder on /z-vid3 had moved to /z-vid2. Knowing that this should not be possible, I rebooted and, after a successful reboot (i.e. all green OKs), the folder (all 10.2 gigs of it) had moved back to /z-vid3. I know SATA is fast but not that fast.
The only difference in the first boot was an e2fsck that was performed on the boot partition (an EXT2). Other than that there were no other obvious problems or changes.
Anyone else have large folders mysteriously travel between drives?
