CUPS Printing

I have to rewrite some old clipper application for running on Mandrake 9.1. I am using clip-1.2. and generic 9pin drivers for EPSON LX-300.
I saw some post about Slackware for changing a pointing in /usr/bin/lp to /usr/bin/lp-cups. I did that. I also changed lpr.

Now printing works but only AFTER exiting the application.

Can anyone help me with this? I've tried everything in code, it closes the connection and in DOS that works.

Thanks in advance.
