CD-Rom not found

I'm new to linux, just wanted to try something other than windows. I dled mandrake 10.1 i586 iso's and was able to burn the image files fine. When i rebooted with the cd's they worked, however mandrake says that it can't find a cd rom on my computer, but it's running from it. If some1 can help me with this i would really appreciate it.

I'm not sure of your current status? Do you have a working Mandriva install, and you simply cannot find the CDROM drive? Or when you try to install you have this error?

well at first when i was tryin to to install mandrake 10.1 it would say this once i tryed to install. however i tried a different version, (mandrake 2005 LE) and the installation was a breeze, i finally got linux on my comp for the first time and i look forward to messin with it and tryin to figure as much as i can out, thank you very much though
