can't find programs


i've installed proftpd and nvtv, but i can't find them anywhere on the menu in kdce. where are they?

proftpd is not a 'program' that you run, but rather a server that can be started with the system services:
/etc/init.d/proftpd start

is there a gui for it? if not are there any other ftp servers with a gui. i want something similar to Serv-U for windows

most popular ftps i believe are:
ftpd
proftpd
vsftpd ( "very secure" )
glftpd ( more advanced/more features )

there is not a gui for any of em (AFAIK)
i dont there is a ftp daemon that will have gui

That's a gui for it, but it's a generic gui for MANY administering apps/servers.

I use webmin to manage proftp, but I cant remember if it picks it up, or you have to enter the paths for the daemon and the config files.
