Bootloader problem in Mandrake 10.0 Community...

I'm having a problem with my default bootloader. I'm running Mandrake 10 Community and in the Mandrake Control Center my default bootloader is listed as: LILO with graphical menu, but when I actually start my computer, GRUB starts instead...I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but I think it may have something to do with the bootloader in the MBR...If that is the case, i'm not sure how to install LILO to the MBR so it loads when I boot instead of GRUB.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Goo

Are you asking it to write to the MBR (/dev/hda and NOT /dev/hda1, eg)?. If so, then you should go to a shell and type lilo (assuming you have something like boot=/dev/hda in your lilo.conf).

Try selecting Grub and then the partiton /dev/hda and see wot happens. Also, you should say what partition is selected by default in MCC.

if none of the above works, please post the contents of lilo.conf. in a terminal as root, type........ cat /etc/lilo.conf

copy & paste it here. also, please post your hard drive/MDK partition layout.
