Will Mandrake Linux Boot from a USB CDrom Drive. When I Installed Linux I had a DVD drive installed in my PC but I removed this as I needed it else where.

I made some changes to my system and now cannot get it to boot up. I have an external USB CDROM Drive.

Would I be able to boot from this CDROM Drive If I connected it to one of the USB Ports.

Thanks for everyones help I know I can ask some silly questions sometimes. I'm still getting my head around Linux. I've been using Windows for to Long.

Never tried with a CDROM drive. Does your motherboard's BIOS have the capability to boot from a USB device?

Do you have a floppy drive and did you create a boot floppy disk during the install? No, then if you need to create a boot floppy then go here:
