You need to install RealPlayer. If you have your repositories set up you can install it via your package manager or via the commandline. To do via commandline, start a konsole session (teminal) type su then press enter, now input your root password and press enter. Now type urpmi realplayer and press enter. When the install has finished type exit press enter then close the konsole.

Thanks for that I thought that I did have the repositories set up correctly - I tried the links in your signature but I still get

[root@localhost ~]# urpmi realplayer
No package named realplayer
[root@localhost ~]#

You will find a streaming BBC station in Amarok's Shoutcast streams list. See if it is the same station you want.

and you can also try to install codecs just in case if anything is missing, I always use this link to install codecs and everything works afterwards (I read something about Mandriva 2008.1, it has a software preinstalled to fetch the required codecs so check that software too)

And Please provide us with a link of the radio stream you are trying to listen to.

That is all I can think of right now and I hope it helps.

Sorry my mistake, the command is case sensitive. I should have wrote: urpmi RealPlayer for the other codecs do: urpmi real-codecs win32-codecs (the case is correct this time).

No package named RealPlayer"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

The good news is that via iPlayer I can listen to radio !!!!!

Thanks so much.
