Auto mounting ~ binding directories at bootup.

Hi.

I was hopeing somone could help me. I am trying to have some folders of mine mapped to different part of the filesystem when the computer boots up.

at the moment I have some folders shared from my windows computer over the network using smb. I have fstab setup so the folders are mounted into my /mnt/ directory.

What i want to do is to have some directories inside the mounted smb share directories linked to other folders in my home folder. I can use the command...

Code:
mount --bind /mnt/Shares/schoolwork /home/bcoon/schoolwork
and this does exactly what i need.... Only I want it done automaticly at bootup and after the samba shares have been mounted.

how do I write the same command in fstab format and if I put it in fstab will it will it try and run the binding command before the smb shares are mounted??

Cheers,
Ben.

The easy way to do that is to edit /etc/rc.d/rc.local by putting this at the end:

mount --bind /mnt/Shares/schoolwork /home/bcoon/schoolwork

I believe that should do it. rc.local is the last init script to run at boot so everything in fstab should be mounted when its run and the above command should be OK.
