after installing kernal 2.6.10

hi i am using mandrake 10.0
i resently compiled one kernal 2.6.10
finally i did not change the LILO configuration because i did not how to change...

so when i halt the system...after stoping the services it hangs..

the error was.....

<0>KERNAL PANIC -not syncing fatel exception in interrupt

it is the final line....before this there are ununderstanable codes are there..

after run the LILO file which has one extra option...2610

floppy
2610

now to change....please help me...

hey ur problem is not clear to me
please explain step by step
what commands did u use to compile ur kernel etc etc

Did you install a 2.6.10 kernel RPM specific to Mandrake 10.0?

I didn't think any have been released for 10.0.

How did you install the kernel?

What steps did you take?
