accessing other computers on the network in mandrake 10

Is there a samba network neighborhood like access to computers on the the network within mandrake 10. I know redhat 9 had such a thing but in Mandrake it seems the only way to get at another computer, windows or otherwise, is to go to the MCC and search for it set a mount point, mount it, exit and go to that mount and open it there.

I find the above process to be problematic; one that often fails and if sucessful slows down the opening of any file manager to a crawl and even that might fail too. I have even had it prevent booting until I booted failsafe an removed the mount from my fstab.

I am going to do more investigating but is there a bug there or is this just my problem.

Jack

Thanks,

That is just what I was looking for and it was already on the PC from the original install. Just hadn't come across it untill now. Went to URPMI smb4k and it came back "everything already installed" and there it was in buried in the menu tree.

Another product I believe is for Gnome is linneighborhood.
