Problem updating Mageia

I was trying to update my Mageia v. 8 install today and got the following result:

Code:
# urpmi --auto-update [/COLOR]
mirror list not found
Could not find a mirror from mirrorlist $MIRRORLIST
I when I tried to connect to mageia.org, the site timed out, but I can still ping the site.

I'm hoping this is just temporary thing, but I wondered if anyone had an idea as to what is going on.

Also, I nosed about and could not find the mirrorlist, and a web search wasn't much help. Where is it stored?

Thanks.

This morning, the website was accessible and the update command worked as normal.

But I'm still curious . . . .
