Why is Gentoo not in the Distro Forum?


I was just wondering why gentoo is not in the list under Distributions? I though that was odd.

They only include distros after an official member of the distro's team agrees to participate. I think.

You are correct, we've always had this policy as we would like the distribution to be a participant in some way. This is asked quite frequently and answered all the time, a search will provide more details.

I had been in contact with someone from Gentoo and getting a forum setup looked like a sure thing. I haven't heard back in a little while on this though.

Gentoo has there own forums and they are very good. (This site is excellent too!!)

(The Gentoo section of LQ has threads going back to 2008, so clearly this seventeen year old thread has been outdated for some time now.)

I didn't even pay attention to the dates on the original posts and was wondering what they were talking about "no Gentoo section" lol
