Where's the 0 replies?

How do I search for the 0 replies? There used to be a link in the forums page... Is this one of the new "features" ?

It's one of the "Quick Links" and it's in the right hand nav menu.

its early days so nice look, now for the grumpy request, old record I know, heh heh

I can see the zero replies no problem.
It is still picking up a lot of posts in the links and news forums.

I know its work for some poor beaver but any chance you can exclude certain forums.
(or if you already are, some more pretty please)

thanks for your patience and forgive me none of mine.

What happened to the daily "LinuxQuestions.org 0 Replies" e-mails?

If I need to re-subscribe, I can't find where.

aus9, you can arbitrarily exclude any forum you'd like.
archtoad6, that feature has been temporarily disabled as we work to bring you something much more flexible.

I thought I might as well post in here, rather than make a new thread. The 0 replies thing isn't working as well as it used to - sometimes I see threads that do have replies, even after clicking the "0 reply threads" link twice, or 3 times. I don't know if it's just me, though!

As I mentioned above we are aware that the 0 replies search has a problem and are working to fix it.

The 0 replies problem should now be fixed. If anyone continues to have a problem with it, let us know.

On-going "new look" problems

Summary
  • 0-reply e-mail replacement
  • Font sizes in Konqueror & Opera
  • Log-in forgotten in Opera
  • Minor spell check problems

It's been about 5 weeks, has the "something much more flexible" been implemented yet? I haven't seen it, but then my participation has dropped to almost 0 because I no longer get my daily e-mail (Catch 22). I had fallen into the habit of using that e-mail as my reminder to visit LQ. I know that I can develop new habit that brings me here daily, but I was hoping for the e-mail reminder to be restored.

Another barrier to my "post renovation" participation is that I can no longer read LQ in Konqueror (3.2.2): everything, especially the body of posts is displayed at Konqueror's default minimum font size, not the medium font size as it used to be. Opera (8.51) has the same problem. Firefox (1.0.3) does not. No offense to those of you who love it dearly, but Firefox is next to last on my list of preferred browsers. For what I hope are obvious reasons, making a permanent increase in Konqueror's default minimum font size defeats the purpose of distinguishing between "minimum" & "medium". Nor is "Increasing Font Sizes" a viable option, because, unlike Opera, Konqueror does not transfer the font size setting to the tabs of links opened in new tabs.

Switching to Opera to visit LQ is perhaps possible, but annoying for 2 reasons: 1st, & this is definitely an Opera problem, when I have cruised a page & opened a series of likely links in new tabs in the background and then go to reading them, Opera goes back nor forward whenever one is closed. This means more keystrokes to navigate through the list (i.e. the tab bar). 2nd, & I believe this is an LQ problem, since the changes, LQ does not perfectly hold my log in when I open new links. For example, I just now clicked on "LQ Calendar" in "Main Menu" section of the side bar on the right of this page, in Opera I was no longer logged in. In Konqueror, I was.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but the subject of posts isn't spell checked. Also "Konqueror" & "Firefox" aren't recognized as valid words. (I know, there is a learn function now, but ...) Of all of these, only the fonts in Konqueror presents a real barrier to my participation in a great site.

One more problem, when I edited the above to fix a minor thing, I lost all my paragraph separation.

Is anyone else having these problems in Konq/Opera? If so can someone file a bug with as much detail as possible, so we can look into it? As for the new feature, it's still very much planned but we've been in triage mode for a while and will be for a little while more. Once we start working on new features again, that will absolutely be the first one addressed.

It happened again today -- edited a post in Konq. & had to manually restore my paragraphs.

Other than the fact that I make paragraphs by pressing "Enter", what more info could I supply in a bug report?

I run Konqueror 3.5.2 and the fonts are absolutely fine for me. Firefox 1.0.3 is an outdated version - everyone should have upgraded by now, if only to sort out the security problems.

Paragraphs also appear fine. Just to check - still paragraphed!
