What happens when I unsubscribe from a thread?

Hi:

Can I say the only effect of unsubscribing myself from a thread started by me is I won't receive notifications when somebody posts in the thread. Question #1.

Question #2: can a user realize (= see) that I have unsubscribed myself? Thanks for reading.

1) You no longer see notifications. Or if you have yours setup like mine, where it only shows up in the "My LQ" usercp (instead of email notifications). The subscription goes away in the usercp.

2) Subscriptions are for you to keep track of threads you're interested in. It's not like a blog with "followers" so nobody knows whether or not you're even subscribed to a thread. Bluntly No, a user cannot see you unsubscribe from a thread.

Thanks for your reply.

1) I see. In the C.Panel, the subscription becomes invisible, with or without email notification. Kind regards.

Would it be useful, assuming it's possible, to provide a subscriber count for threads? It would let everyone know how much on-going interest there is in a topic.

It might be interesting to see. Though I still think the system we have now works fine.
