Unhappy Wait time between searches

I'm new to the forum and I tried to search, however I received this message:
"1.This forum requires that you wait 4 seconds between searches. Please try again in 3 seconds."

That's the stupidest think I've ever seen. Why on earth would that be the case? I waited at least 10 seconds between searches.

Thanks!

Sometimes I get this message when accidentally double-clicking on links that involve a search, like Subscribed threads or New posts.

As the current search is very resource intensive, we have a very short floodcheck in place to prevent against abuse, broken bots, accidental multiple clicks, etc.
