Top Ten Posters Position Numbers

Maybe on the 'Top Ten Posters' bit, you could put the position number next to the name. Would make it easier to spot how high up the list you are.

don't know about that... this site's been pretty good so far to avoid too much petty competitiveness in terms of # of posts. that would probably encourage a lot of pointless posts, and god knows we get enough of that from kewpie anyway.

I think the top ten is fine the way it is.

But we may have to get you and kewpie a set of gloves. Cowboy vs the UK boy, I'll buy tickets.

i agree with the top ten as well, we don't need anymore competiveness encouraged. we shouldn't come here to rant and rave how many posts we have, but how many people we can possibly help out.

Applause rises from the background. Then comes to a swift silence as he realizes that he is the only one clapping his damn hands off.

ok.. i kept quiet.. mainly cos i'ev not read this thread before... isa.. you get the gloves, i'll get teh chocolate spread.

i hate that top ten thing. especially as i'm getting scarily close to jeremy, i don't wannt post more than the site owner! that's when i kinda turn round and look at myself, maybe go walkabout like crocodile dundee... Thougth about changing my name so i won't look so dull.. maybe... maybe not... or maybe you'll just never know!

But a little bit of 'competition' does help toward makign a friendlier community, meaning ppl will like the place more. Once you get to know the people a little bit that is.

i kinda think i should state again that i really know so little about linux it's unreal...

Yeah, I agree with that. Go for a surf over to the Overclockers Australia forums and have a look inThe Pub to see what rampant "my post count is bigger than yours" can do.
