SimplyMepis not listed in the Distribution section?
Just wondering why Mepis isn't listed in the Distribution section????
Clearly is the easiest to set up. Even better than Knoppix.
And the support at mepislovers.org is better than a pay for service in my opinion.
In order for a distro to have its own dedicated forum, it is LQ's policy that each forum have some official representation from someone directly associated with the distro. If you would like to see a dedicated forum for Mepis, please contact them and let them know your thoughts. To say it another way, the absence of a forum for a given distro is not because LQ is intentionally excluding that distro, but rather because that distro has not provided someone to represent them in the forum. It is independent of either the popularity or the "worthiness" of a distro but instead is just a matter of whether or not the distro is both interested and willing to participate in the forum. -- J.W.

You got that right.... Suse just joined several months ago..
And I think others should really search before asking questions and assuming this policy, it has got to have been mentioned a 1k times or more now in how we add Distribution forums on this site..
No he doesn't. But if you had bothered to search the forums, you will see that this question (only the distro name is changed...) comes up with ridiculous regularity. Try answering the same question twice a month or more for a year and see what your responses look like.

Hey dude! CHILL !!!
If you had bothered to read my whole post you would have read,
"LOL k thanks for the answer ;-)

at the bottom of it. It means I was just joking and appreciated the answer.

Ummm.. Look at the timestamps of the posts, XavierP and even myself were basically typing our replies when you posted your followup so we never saw it until after replying, so you should "Chill"... and pay attention to the timestamps before telling a Moderator off!
trickykid
Im pretty sure XavierP was replying to my followup.
I think the Microcrap hit a nerve. lol
Just wondering what moderator I told off????
And if I did please elaborate.
Am I missing something??
Sounds like a flamewar.
Just hope everybody chills.
Thanks.

I'm not sure but no matter, I don't see his response as anywhere near outta line compared to yours, telling someone to chill is taking things too personal. So lets just stop and move on, the question has been answered, if Mepis wants to join, they can and I'm sure Jeremy has tried contacting them himself.

Rep:
I have contacted them in the past and they did show some interest. If you are a Mepis user and would like to see them participate here at LQ I would encourage you to contact them and politely say so.
