Another one maybe of this sort of layout, came up with a new tux type logo as well, so we don't have just a regular ol Tux that everyone else has.

I would like to thank everyone that has contributed an image so far. A little while longer and I will round up all the entries and line them up together. Keep up the good work!

Put it as a Poll Jeremy, I liked the one from NGraphiX - I am too obsessed with black and white graphics/photo

I like NGraphiX pic. Not sure about the big Q though, maybe a ? mark would look ok on it.. and maybe not so much fade to white on the last penguin to the right side.... hmmm.. I like the concept though..

But like neo, I like black and white graphics too, but from the rest of the site, I think the logo needs some color to it a bit. One reason I added the blue to try and match the blue theme we have here.

I am very impressed with everyone. So far I give half my vote the last 2 posted, 1/2 to tricky and 1/2 to NGraphiX.

Good ideas guys.

Here's two idea's from me.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/contest/jeremy2.gif

BTW ignore the sizes on those. #1 is banner size and #2 would have to be cut *way* down.

Yep, merchandise match, and I like it too. Is there going to be a thread that we will go too soon to vote on these? I am just wondering because there are some very good ideas here. I am also thinking, that some of these could be used other places on the board, not sure where, but I am just tossing some ideas out since I can't create anything.

Cool

The second one is actually the image that I use for the merchandise, that's why it is so big. I would like to give people a little more time before we start to decide. I agree with MasterC though. After this is over I think I am going to make a page where you can get various LQ propaganda (buttons, banners, logos, etc.) and will include many of the great looks that have been posted in this thread.

the banner one does look good, but then would it be possible to make a standard logo out of it? personally i think i'd use a smoother image of tux for that aswell though, probably to normal one... or is it low res for any compatability reason? personally i'm not too keen on the second one, not suer why. ever since last year i've also become a font puritan, only ever ever ever using arial. maybe i'll have the time to make one, probably not though: i am very very lazy.
