pop-up obscures threads

When mouse pointer hovers over a thread title in a forum a pop-up with the first few lines of the post appears and obscures threads below, and if there is a way to disable this annoyance, I didn't find it. Is it really impossible?

Yes, that works with javascript turned off too. I wouldn't call that a hindrance, I call that a nice feature.

Look at the source code of the page to see how that works.

It depends on the web browsers engine that you are using.

Dillo opens that and the pop ups don't open. Webkit/Webengine will display them. So your answer might be to use a different little web browser on LQ that doesn't run everything on the page.

I can assure you that you're the first person to have a problem with the tooltip.
