Your original post was regarding a problem installing smallbasic. You didn't provide any information about the errors you were receiving, so there was not very much for someone to use to help you. You received a reply with a possible solution. Since you never followed-up, we can only assume that it worked or you gave up.

Four months later you added an entry to your smallbasic thread about a problem you were having with your printer. That's a new problem and should have been a new thread. Again, you provided no details of the problem you were having.

Yes, LQ is useful. But, only if a) you provide worthwhile information and b) you are actively engaged in trying to solve your own problem. Read the link in #5 in my signature so you can understand how to receive help. The problem isn't LQ, the problem is you.

I have been trying to understand the dynamic of what happens to all the questions people post. There are a large number of threads that simply die with no clue as to whether OP fixed their issue. I imagine it's like running a store---people touch, handle, ask questions, etc. with no intent of buying anything.
I find myself tailoring my answers to my perception as to whether the OP has--or is willing to-- put out any effort.

For zoba;
"Is LQ useful?" Please read through some threads and tell us what YOU think---do you see people getting their questions answered?

Hint: do a search for the tag "solved".

I too find myself tailoring my answers to my perception as to whether the OP has -- or is willing to -- put out any effort. Including sometimes not answering at all. And also sometimes giving only hints -- a fishing lesson, not a fish.
