Who knows if I'm right though, everyone is gonna call it how they want. The only thing that does bother me though is when people mispronounce Linux though ;)
Not having heard you say I'd say it's close enough ;)
It is pronounce "Soo-Sah". And I can tell you that because I went to a presentation just after Novell took over, the presenters were German and from SuSE and that's how they pronounced it.
Let's not get into yet another "how's it all pronounced" discussion - I'd hate to see a thread started by the site admin get closed
It's all been discussed in General, several times, to death.

Don't worry mate - it's just an announcement thread - not
any real technical stuff.
Don't think root will get too bothered by our airing a little
bit of humor in here. Tink there's a German who probably
knows how to pronounce it quite well. Hey, where I live,
and the next country east of here, most of them pronounce
it... "Thuthee"
;-}

Look folks, you can find it all at the SuSE / Novell site :
Founded in 1992 as "Gesellschaft für *S*oftware- *u*nd *S*ystem-*E*ntwicklung mbH" which simply means "company for software- and system development -- limited liability corporation".
This is also the reason for the small "u" of the german "and" in SuSE, since in german nouns start with capital letters ... thus SuSE.
It's pronounced hereabouts like the girl's first name -- I guess that'll be alright erverywhere, be it german Suse, anglo-american suzie, susy or any other girl you like .

Heh, oh, I think our posts crossed each other.
I should have read yours first.
Interestingly enough I just sent an email 2 weeks ago to customer support at SuSE requesting they support LinuxQuestions.org. I got a reply stating that it was againt company policy to support 3rd party forums. Hmmm.......guess the left had has no idea what the right hand is doing?
Well, I don't care about the reasons. Being an avid SuSE user I'm just glad to see we now have our own forum. Should make the searching for SuSE questions a little easier.
