Which "users' distro icons on forum" are you referring to?
I believe he's referring to the icons in the lower-left corner of posts (the one that shows what OS the browser reports to have been posted from). He's saying he doesn't like the new updated ones. At least that's what I gather...

Looks like Arch's logo hasn't change, it just looks different now... I mean it's still that blue arrowhead.
In my opinion distro icons are just like the distros that have them. Newer icons represent newer versions of the distro and older ones represent older versions of the distro. If you don't want to use an EOL distro, don't use EOL icons.
