General/ Linux - General

First of all, thank you for such a wonderful site. Great things are happening here all the time.
I'm noticing that a lot of posts in the General forum have been moved there by mods (usually from Linux-General) because, though they are linux related generally, they aren't asking specific questions and problems but tending more towards discussion or posting links. This I have no problem with, but i think the descriptions on the forums page could do with some clarification if this is indeed the agreed split between general/linux general. This would save a lot of mod time too. I mean, the description for general is "all questions not in any way related to linux" but many topics that are related to linux, but not problems with linux are moved here if they're posted elsewhere. The description for linux general (If it is Linux Related and doesn't seem to fit in any other forum then this is the place) is a lot more inclusive than moderaters tend to be, and i think if the descriptions agreed a lttle more with how these forums are "supposed" to be used, more people would post in the right place to begin with. Just a suggestion anyway, keep up the great work.

Thanks for the suggestion. Here it where the line should be drawn. If a discussion touches on Linux, but just in passing (ie. Linux is not really the main topic of the discussion) it should be in General. Non-technical but Linux related topics are also fair game for General. Hope this clarifies things a bit. If not let me know.
