"Extra" moderators in the "Distro-forums" : Just curious...
When browsing some of the distro-specific forums , I noticed that some of them have an "extra" moderator ; Trickykid at LFS and Aussie at Slackware.
Is that because they're also "officially" representing these distro's ?(if that's the case.)
Would that mean , that every distro , listed there could have "one of their own ranks" being a moderator over their "own" forum here?
Inquiring minds want know....

Those were the first two specific forums created due to demand at the time, etc. Before adding unspawn and MasterC to all of Distributions, I was added to LFS as I was the one who pretty much got Mr. Beekmans from LFS to say yes to a forum and Aussie is a Slackware guru so he got Slackware when it was added.
Basically at the time Jeremy wanted a minimum of 2 mods per forum, and jharris was the main dsitro mod, so he was automatically a mod of those two forums. So that is why there are us extras in those two forums, etc.
It probably won't be too long before we add another one to distributions, as its just getting bigger and bigger and harder to handle.
Cheers.

Ah...
So it' s more of a "historical heriitage-thingy". Makes sense.
But (please bear with my ignorance) , is a "heavier" mod-density really needed in those forums?
Agreed ; I usually only check "VectorLinux" and the "general Distro"-part (with the occasional "dip" into "Slackware") and they look pretty well-behaved to me.(Save for that drivel , Galen posted , ofcourse...).
Or are there that many threads , that need to moved elsewhere?

I'd say it's more of a question in the wrong forum problem than a menacing poster problem generally speaking wrt moderating the distro forums.
Cool
