Cookies and this site

Some recent concerns with Internet snooping (tacoda.net) caused me to lock down cookies to only sites which I specifically allow. This morning I logged into the network forum on LinuxQuestions.org and created a rather lengthy and detailed post. When I selected Preview Post the site again asked me to login. I did so and the site again asked me to login... A loop. Bottom line, I lost everything I had written.

If the site is requiring the use of cookies, please consider validating their availability in the login process. Warn the user to enable them before allowing a post to be composed (and lost).

TIA,

Ken

Cookies are not strictly required to login or post to LQ, but they do make things a bit easier. If you do not plan to use cookies, make sure you don't check the "Remember Me" box. Broken proxies and such can also cause issues if you don't use cookies.
