Question add likes to general (non linux) forum


i would like to see likes and maybe dislikes at non-*nix General forum, it would be fine if it wouldnt add to reputation.

just a thought.

Really? Why? I think it is a bad idea.

it would be nice to know for example when posting to "what are you listening now" thread who likes and/or dislikes that post.

The ability to give/receive feedback out-of-band (without cluttering a thread) can be useful.

Using it for a crude survey of music tastes seems... well, clunky and inefficient.

What ever the answer to "why do you care what music people like/dislike?" might be, there's undoubtedly a better way to achieve that...

well i would be happy if some band that i posted receives few thumbs up, it would make me to try to find fresh music that are same genre/artist/whatever.

i actually want to find music that ppl like.
