Exclamation 'Preview' @ LinuxAnswer = 'Validation Error, please contact Admin'

Jeremy,

I'm having an issue with 'Preview' button on the following URL: http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...dd/la/parent/6

Quote:
The following errors occurred with your submission:

* Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator.
I have retried many times over the last hour, with the same result. NOTE: I am not trying to SUBMIT, only preview.

Pertinent data:

Title: How To Use LinuxQuestions.org -- revised
Parent: LinuxQuestions.org
Body: <insert LQ-vB-formatted text here>

Also, there's a 'Input Format' link just atop the Preview/Submit buttons, which is broken -- it leads to the LQ Forums Index (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/)

I just tested with random noise in the boxes and it previewed fine for me on FF/IceWeasel 3.5, Debian Squeeze. Though I do have broadband. If it's a peculiarity of either dial up or of your own system, we can try to work something out.

I haven't looked/checked yet, but something just occurred to me: Is there a 'Captcha' on that page?

If so, then that's the problem (I have it blocked) -- no big deal, I could unblock it, but I'm just using the regular 'Preview Post' situation to do my previews right now. If this is the problem, this issue can be considered [solved]

If there's no captcha, then the problem persists.

Thanks, off to bed! Tired.... .. . ..

The "Input format" works as expected for me. I'll look into the Validation Error.

'Preview' is working as it should today. Did you change anything or discover anything?

I'm doing nothing differently-- same title and everything.

Maybe it was a cookie issue on my end-- I've been using two browser windows, maybe one of which was not properly cookie-ized? I have since last night logged out and back in..

Nothing changed on our end in that time-frame.

Ok.. This has something to do with something expiring, or timing out, like a cookie or $sessid.

Earlier today, I had been working with the LinuxAnswers page, doing lots of previews, and all was fine (still had 2 browser windows FWIW)

At approx 1545hrs localtime, I left the house, leaving all of the browser pages as they were.

Came home later, la de da de da, and at 2222hrs localtime (according to LQ server clock, and I'm in AST timezone, dunno if it's currently DST or not), I hit 'Preview' on the page I had left open which had been working fine earlier, and received the validation error as described in post#1.

I logged out of LQ, then logged back in, went back to the LA page, put my stuff back into the fields just as it had been, hit 'Preview' and it worked fine again, no error.
