Relocating - hoping to find a beautiful Linux knowledge island

Dear Linux people

I have recently been hooked to the beauty of the Linux way. I´m making a change in my life now and after seeing a documentary about the Linux revolution I found the wipe among the people that are working in those "physical" working communities (distinguishing from the big on-line community) very attractive an I´m considering the possibility of moving to a such place.

I´m now wondering if some of you living and working in places flourishing with enthusiasm and social interaction of likeminded people of the Linux lifestyle.

This post bears an amentioning of an island in it´s title. I´m an sport diver. I now dream of a place where those two things could go together. My paradise. But I would just as well really like to know where those islands of common Linux consensus are happening and then go diving for holidays.

If you can guide me a bit further with a web-link, an personal insight or experience of a place you know I would be really thankful.
