I finally signed up for an account to post some helpful info as a reply to someone that has the same problem I currently do. I love this forum and come here often to find solutions. Thanks very much for the help over the years!
It does seem to be the politest forum around. I also post regularly at a place filled with flame wars, trolls, and angry neckbeards, but I'm moving away from it. LQ is MUCH nicer.

New to Linux. I've used Ubuntu and Puppy some. I find myself gravitating away from Windows more and more and looking for a distro to fill my needs.This looks like a good place to start.
