Hi,
Here's my story.
After graduating from college recently, I decided to splurge a lil' and buy myself a brand new spanking computer. Something a little better than my old dell pc. After ordering all the parts off of Newegg.com and putting the sucker together (and troubleshooting a malfunctioning graphics card), I was all satisfied with my new computer.
But that didn't last long. My old dell was sitting next to me begging to be used, so I decided I wanted to turn it into a server. I also wanted to be l337 which required mad hacking skills which required that I use some form of linux.
So, I ran across an article (fedoranews.org/cms/node/411) about running apache on Fedora 4. After browsing the article, I decided to get to it. I quickly discovered Fedora 5 and decided to use that instead. I had my troubles but I worked through them and here I am now.
I'm am so impressed with the OS that I'm planning on turning my new comp. into a dual boot (since there are a few games I'd still like to be able to play). But since I'm such a newbie at it all, I plan on visiting this forum often to figure out things like how to get side mouse buttons (linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=108737) working in Linux.
That's a long story, thanks for reading.

P.S. Sorry, I'd put the actual links in but being a new user I can't.
