MSUNL - I am new member to this very useful net community - Introduction
I am slowly moving back to the days of my youth! ; Working on Linux and Sun Solaris. It's been a while since I did anything complicated with these Operating systems , but it sure is fun to revive old skills that really have become much more common with the fantastic work of the Open Source community.
Curently I am setting up a number of fedora and Ubuntu systems and figuring out how to use one machine's X console to manage my multiple unix systems.
I also need to learn how to remotely boot up my unix systems which are Intel Xeon based IU servers ; I have 20 of them and I will be using them to develop and try out different software apps. That way I can move the 20 odd servers to another room to avoid being deafened by the fan noise and still use all 20 if need be from one console.
Since I was software engineer as opposed to a sysadm, I have a lot to learn in the sysadm area but this site is very helpul and I am sure I will use it often.
