I've been using Linux for over 20 years, unfortunately I had a stroke about 10 years ago and my memory is very bad. I'm working with 2 computers and have to go back and forth between rooms to post this. I'm post on my Vista Windows computer connected via DSL. The other computer is my old Windows XP computer that has a virus issue. I have booted it up with a live Linux CD (Puppy 4.3.1), stuck a wifi USB stick in it and was able to connect to the Internet, whereas I had only been able to connect with dial up modem.
I eventually want to add my wireless router into the mix, but I have to proceed slowly, as I forget so quickly. (Even in going from the one computer to the other). I am rusty on this stuff, but I have the confidence of having done most of it before.
I wanted to get this first post out of the way. So that I could eliminate one of the obstructions in chasing down issues.
