Smile Introducing myself...

Hello all! I have dabbled in linux for years as a hobby. Mainly worked (on the job) with Windows as helpdesk and computer tech. Always enjoyed linux much more of course. Found a lot of good answers in these forums, so I figured I would join.

Welcome buddyalexander.

I am a computer support person as well. You'd be surprised how often I use Linux to fix Windows computers. (I don't mean by replacing Windows with Linux. )

Try the two distributions in my signature, System Rescue CD and Trinity Rescue Kit. They both have lots of software tools to repair disk partitions, copy data from a nearly broken disk drive, undelete files in NTFS, and lots of other stuff.

Thanks!

Appreciate the welcome guys/girls! I have used System Rescue CD to do the same before. I haven't heard of Trinity Rescue Kit before. I will have to give it a try.
