Recently retired (February) IT Professional. Began using Sys III Unix around 1982. Spent the last 9 years supporting Redhat Linux for a large global software company.
Personally, I have been using Macs since the first toaster Mac came out, and various forms of Linux before settling on Ubuntu.
I currently have a Macbook Pro and a Ubuntu 16.04 desktop. There is a Windows 10 laptop in the house.
Actually I've been a member a long time but was too busy doing IT support to contribute, and never posted anything until today.
And yes we've just moved from Silicon Valley to here in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Our house is located in Tahoe National Forest overlooking a lake, with our own acre of forest. It is about 90 miles from Lake Tahoe.
