I am studying PHP MY SQL database driven web programing and beginning a coarse in PERL. I have three years previous web development classes HTML, Java_Script, ASP, CSS and C & C++ programing mostly done on a windoze platform. The work and day to day experiences usiing my Red Hat 9 box is so much more conducive and enlightening as to learning computing and programmiing, there is no comparison.I hope to achive a level of understanding adequate so I can become a contributing part of the open Source movement and related forums.
I have a small home network running behind Smoothwall 2.0 Express and am configuring an FTP & Apache web server with my own informational web-site and related archives for download. I hope to learn and help out as much as I can.
