Hullo from Canberra, where the drought is getting worse and the water restrictions have just got tougher.

I'm running SuSE 10.0 on an old Dell Dimension 4100 which desperately needs another 256MB of memory - that'll relieve some of my wife's frustrations

. Then I'm about to take delivery of a Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop and put OpenSuSE 10.2 on it. Various posts here and at linux-on-laptops convince me it can be done. I'll post if I have difficulties.

If you're curious, my net-name myzomela comes from Myzomela sanguinolenta, a cute red and black bird I sometimes see here.
