Talking huh-they left the door open

Anyway yeah, i'm just getting into this with the intention of running a zenoss server. i'll move up from that point. at this point i'm really interested in finding command line options, commands, lists of commands, functions operators, and other useful tools so i can learn this OS in the quickest fashion possible. my background is network equipment so i'm not afraid of the command line like i've noticed a lot of people are. I'm also not afraid to state the stupid to get an answer or confirmation i want/need. so any suggestions for learning resources specific to Fedora 8 would be much appreciated. I'll state the obivouse right now. i know one command in linux and that is reboot. so i've got a lot of work to do.

Heh. Welcome to LQ, hope you like it here.

Your system comes standard with information in different locations, accessable with commands like "man commandname", "info commandname", the apropos, (s)locate and which commands and in /usr/share/doc/applicationname. Next to that the Fedora(.org) site, Wiki and satellite sites provide much information. I'd say you find all your basic info there. Then there's sites that provide HOWTO's, tutorials like LQ, TLDP(.org), Howtoforge, Nixcraft, Tech-recipes.com, Ittoolbox.com, Rute and on and on. All you need to do is to search a wee bit and just *use* the system (a good first task would be to learn how to make backups ;-p).
