Hi, From South Texas

Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself as a new subscriber of LQ. My name is Jose Garza, and I'm from South Texas. I'm looking forward to sharing ideas here.

Best regards.

I knew a guy who said he was from South America. Finally I asked him where. He said Corpus Christi. I said that isn't South America! He informed me that it is in the South of America.

Haha, that's hilarious! It's all about perspective, isn't it? Here in McAllen, Tx we're so close to the border that I sometimes joke we're in the "deep south" of Texas. So deep, in fact, that I can almost see South America if I squint hard enough from my backyard – or at least, the southernmost tip of Texas!

Can't wait to share more geographical fun facts (and confusions) with you all!

Warmest regards,
JG
